MONDAY 27.03.2023 Day 23.		Puppies bite everything within their reach. Their incisors and canines are fully developed but they are not able to chew on food. They use tongue and licking to consume their food, which is why their food must be mashed. By eating solid food, the puppies defecate more intensively. The mother no longer consumes their faeces as intensively as she had been doing when they were only in the whelping box.

TUESDAY 28.03.2023 Day 24.		Puppies learn at great speed and develop very rapidly. They display all behaviours of an adult dog. Biting, baying, growling, showing teeth, performing prey and fighting games, carrying objects, “killing” prey, etc. They learn to control the strength of their bite during their games by feeling the sib’s response to their bite. They need lots of different stimuli, which includes playing with humans and children.

WEDNSDAY 29.03.2023 Day 25.		The period between the 3rd and 7th week is important because the puppy memorises behaviour patterns. Anything that is neglected by the breeder will have irreversible effects. Puppies that will have little contact with people, children and other dogs will remain shy, fearful, and unable to make contact. Visits of friends, children, and puppy people are extremely important for proper development of the litter and its socialisation.

SUNDAY 02.04.2023 Day 29.		Puppies have changed their coats by now. They have stronger and sleeker hair. It is now possible to evaluate the quality of ridges. Faults which were hidden till now such as extra crowns and offsets are now easier to assess.
