Sight is now fully developed in all puppies. All puppies also react to sounds and noises by moving their ears or by crouching. Curiosity is now also fully developed, and we can observe differences between the puppies. These differences determine their working potential in the future. From now on, the puppies are able to leave the puppy box on their own and return quickly when they feel danger. A puppy that is not able to do this is genetically damaged. Here pack behaviour comes into play. (In natural conditions, this period is one of severe selection. A puppy that does not submit to tough play with the father and does not return to the whelping nest for feeding is lost and the mother will not accept it anymore.) Puppies have to have clearly
defined nest (for resting and sleeping) in our household. Space outside of nest is dedicated to playing and defecation. Puppies are very smart and clean! From now on they defecate outside of their nest.
